Did you know that when the original Star Wars hit DVD and Blu-ray, and in special editions, that certain things were changed? The colour balance was ‘improved’, old style effects changed with new ones, and Han Solo didn’t shoot first. Despite constant calls, there still hasn’t been a release of the way things were during the original screening. And given Star Wars’ historical importance, that’s not so good.

Don’t worry though. There are some fans that are on the case, and like the rebels against the empire, are going against the odds to make things better…
