Overwatch is Blizzard’s fancy new FPS title where, in similar fashion to Valve’s Team Fortress 2, you pick a hero with unique skills to make up a team of six and battle it out to complete a mission before the other team stops you. Whether it’s defending or attacking a location, or pushing or stopping a payload from moving across the map, games are fast paced, sharp and leave that “just one more game” feel in your mouth that keeps you coming back.
The heroes themselves are pretty awesome in design, and though they have backstory, it doesn’t really carry over to the gameplay. That doesn’t put off either; the gameplay is fun without needing a story, and the story just enhances the characters and gives them reasons for existing.
All in all, Blizzard have done a spellbindingly good job here and I’m addicted.
