There Came an Echo (Steam link) is a PC game that follows the adventures of Corrin Webb (Wil Wheaton), an ordinary cryptographer, who is thrown into a deadly game of secret agendas when a group of mercenaries track him down in Santa Monica, California. Guided by the mysterious Val (Ashly Burch), Corrin must escape from a foe with seemingly limitless resources and discover what secrets his own unbreakable algorithm, Radial Lock, is safeguarding…information that, if released, will rattle the very foundations of reality itself.
You play the game by actually speaking to your squadron through a sophisticated voice recognition system that allows for a level of immersive gameplay unlike most other games out on the market. It’s this unique feature that has made me fall in love with this game (oh, and I guess Wil Wheaton’s presence too), and I can’t wait for it to be released.
Did I mention it released on February 24th and you can buy and download it right now? Hell yes!
